My Product Story
When I was first introduced to essential oils, I wasn't completely a believer in them.
In fact, it was my mom who gave me my first kit of essential oils for Christmas. It was one of those gifts you are given when you think...
"Awe, Mom... you shouldn't have... Like no really, you shouldn't have."
Me and my husband opened the bottles, read a little about them, and tucked them in our cabinet, never to be looked at again.
Until, in the middle of the night, we heard a seal-like cough sound coming from the baby monitor and we could hear that our son was struggling to breathe.
As first-time parents, this TERRIFIED US. We jumped straight out of bed and ran to his room.
So we did what first time parents should NEVER do. We Googled his symptoms.
But this ended up being a happy ending.
It turns out, that what he had was something that was a wait and out and see what happens. Even if we rushed him to the doctor in the middle of the night, there was nothing they could have done for him.
But in the meantime, he was uncomfortable and struggling for breath. That is when my husband remembered,
"Didn't your mom get us those oils?"
And it was out of desperation we pulled the kit out of the cabinet, and grabbed one called Breathe. We put it on him. And within minutes he had calmed down enough to fall asleep again. We put it on him again the next day, and surprisingly nothing ever progressed further.
That is when I had to know more about these oils.

Specific - Choose one specific story when you were frustrated or concerned with your health where the oils worked for you
Short- 2-3 Minutes
Skepticism - Everyone at one point has a degree of skepticism if this will really work. Connect with those people reassuring them that they aren't alone, you have felt that too at one time.
Story Telling -It's all in the details. Share what was happening, how you felt, what you were doing in detail so people can feel like they were there with you.
Solution - Share what oils you used so they can start getting ideas of the versatility of oils
Your Ah Ha, "they work" moment. - Share the success you had with them and why they mean so much to you now
Share - This is where you make an invitation. Invite people to learn more, try a sample, or look into the business with you. Adapt it for who you are talking to.

Your 'Why' is your cause—it’s the thing that you are fighting for. Subconsciously, it defines your beliefs and the lens with which you see the world. Your Why is beautiful and unique to you. When you have a clear picture of your Why, other things that don’t matter as much fall away, including fear, excuses, and inhibitions that would otherwise keep you from moving forward in life. When your Why is established, you have meaning in your life, you attract the things and people you need, and choosing to do hard things to have the best possible outcomes becomes easier.
It's important to find our your "Why" to beginning this journey with doTERRA.
This is important to have written out and to remember it throughout your journey.
Don't worry, this "Why" will change as your business and you change. So don't worry about it being perfect.

How to Login to your Back Office
Start by going to https://www.doterra.com/IN/en_IN
Enter in your ID number and website, and you are in!
Set Up Your Loyalty Rewards Order
In order for doTERRA's system to consider you an active Wellness Advocate and payout commissions, a 100pv (product volume) order must be placed each month from your account. You may keep this product, or sell it to others.
In India, these orders cannot be done automatically and must be placed manually. But you must click the link in the back office to opt into the Loyalty Rewards system. Once opted in, you will get a monthly reminder email to place your order.
You may place these orders as a One-Time Standard Order, or place them on the Loyalty Rewards System and you will earn back points in free products.
As a team, we choose to make these orders before the 15th of each month. You can order products that other people want to buy from you or purchase for yourself. (Later in the program we will show you how to full this order with customers needs.)

Register To Sell "Food" in India (Optional)
Because some of doTERRA's oils will be certified for internal use with India, a Food Safety and Stands Registeration is required by the government of India. The fee to register is 100 INR a year. If you choose not to get this, you will just not have full access to the catalog of products.
The Steps to Apply:
1- Select the State
2- Select the Trade- Retail
3- Select - Distributor (Click the + (plus) sign on the right.
4- Select0 Turnover up to 12 lakhs
6- Select "Click Here for registration of all businesses".
7- Fill out the Form A, selecting Numbers 13 & 99 for the food category
8- Pay the fees
Direct Selling & Network Marketing
Direct Selling (DS) refers to the practice of directly engaging with end-consumers via means other than through conventional sales methods, such as advertisements, retail outlets, etc. Companies which engage in this business are known as direct selling entities (DSE). DSE engage customers directly through demonstrations and presentations at their households and/or office workspaces. Direct selling is a business model where entrepreneurial-minded people can work independently to build a business with no cost to join and which is based on their own efforts to sell product while helping others do the same.
As per the World Federation of Direct Selling Associations (WFDSA), direct selling business worldwide accounts for about $179.3 billion in business across more than 170 countries. It is estimated that about 120 million people are engaged in the industry and earn their living through the same.
In India, the figure during the last reported survey was about ₹1,67,762 million. It is estimated that more than 7.4 million people are engaged in the industry and provide livelihood to many families.
As per FICCI, it is estimated that the Indian direct selling industry has the potential to surpass ₹64,500 crore by 2025. The recent trends have contributed significantly towards the same.
What are the benefits of Direct Selling?
1. No entry costs.
2. An entrepreneurial opportunity to become independent and earn income.
3. Freedom to choose whether to work full or part-time at the business.
4. People, especially women, have an opportunity to provide a secondary source of income in households and to eventually become financially independent.
5. A convenient and flexible opportunity for supplemental income.
6. Reduces product costs due to savings from no advertisement and promotional expenses.
7. Distributors/Wellness Advocates earn the trust of their customers and become a close-knit community.
8. Helps boost the economy and finance of a country.
9. Provides quality products to customers due to a successful marketing strategy.
India has an untapped potential for direct selling and the industry has shown exponential growth in recent years. Although there have been ups and downs, with the right mindset and clear focus, distributors in the industry are well-positioned to take advantage of projected upward trends. At present, direct selling accounts for only 0.4% of total retail sales in India. This percentage is lower than other developing countries. In addition, the direct selling business model often benefits from tight knit communities, such as those in India. Direct selling in India has barely begun to reach its potential. Thus, it makes sense to get onboard early.
