When someone signs up you will get to place them anywhere on your team. There is strategy that goes into this placement to recieve rank abd larger bonsues. The first thing to learn is the difference between an enroller and a sponsor so you know where to place someone on your team.

Enrollership ALWAYS, ALWAYS, goes to whoever invited that person to the class. Never try to sign up your sharers or builders invitees because you taught or helped. Always be generous with your downline and things will always fall into place.


Placements is extremely important to your doTERRA business. It can be the difference from rank advancing and not. 

I suggest to ONLY build 2 legs when you first begin to get to premier so you can start to see the leadership bonuses as quickly as possible. Then when you find that Capable and Committed leader (CC) put them on your frontline.

Do not spread yourself out wide. Always stack people as much as you can.

Wellness consults happen after someone signs up. This consult helps them learn about their new oils, and helps them fall in love with doTERRA. If you can help them fall in love with 3 products that change their lives, you will have a customer for life.

These consults should be done for all 3 types: User, Sharer or Builder in doTERRA.

EVERYONE needs a wellness consult who opens an account with you.

Once someone has trusted us with using natural solutions for their health, this is where it is our responsibility to begin nurturing and helping them learn about essential oils. There is only so much someone can learn and retain from a 1 hour class, so it is our job to help them on an individual basis and really sit down with them and understand their needs and build a stronger relationship.

These consults are for listening. Not talking. Help them discover and tell you.

Schedule your wellness consults with them the night they sign up for sometime in the next 2 weeks. Preferably, I like to do it after 1 week in the US because they will have their oils. If you live out of the country and it takes longer to get their oils, schedule these right away even without oils so you can get them excited and give them the tools they need when they do get there.

  1. Have them take out their new oils and go over each one they started with

  2. Ask about their top health challenges. Ask questions like:
    “What are you most excited to try?”
    “How are the oils going to help you achieve your health goals?”
    (Let them tell you! We buy emotionally, and justify logically)

  3. Help them discover solutions for their health concerns. This is a great time to pull out a reference book or show them how to look up items on on their phone. We want to empower people to know how to look up their own health concerns and be empowered at home and not rely on you for all the answers.

  4. Show them how to log in to their back office. 

  5. Introduce them to the Loyalty Rewards Program and how they can opt in to get free products. Show them great examples of how they can start to reduce synthetics in the home and earn products for free.

  6. Show them how to look up and see promotions for the month.

  7. Identify if they are a User, Sharer or want to be a partner so you can assist them the best.

  8. Invite them to yours (or uplines) online Facebook groups to get further support. (Team Education Group

  9. Invite them to any continuing ed classes

  10. Schedule a time to check back in with them“Would it be ok if I check back in 2 weeks to see how you're loving your oils?”

The Loylaty Rewards Program = LRP


Because you have an account with doTERRA, you can opt into the Loyalty Rewards Program (LRP) to earn free products monthly. When you place a monthly order, you can qualify for the Product of the Month Club and earn points back wtih each order to redeem for free products. 

The Oil of the Month Club: Every month a new oil is highlighted and is given for free with any 125pv order. 

Earn points back on every order placed monthlyEach month you consistently order, doTERRA gives you a percentage back in points to be redeemed in free products. Every 3 months you move up in percentage until you earn the top percent of 30% in points back after 13 months.

LRP is the best way to help people get the oils for below wholesale. They receive free products of the month, and points back on product and shipping each month. This is an opt in only program. In the back office you click to become apart of the program, but it is ultimately up to you to place an order that month. 


The LRP program is another pipeline to grow your business and also a way to help people be empowered in their own home to start making swaps in their lives with natural solutions.

125pv: Free product of the month

1-40pv: Freeze current point percentage

My favorite indepth doTERRA compensation plan video by TRIPLE Diamond Patrick Sedivy. This is presented in USD. So refer to the compensation plan link above for Rupee Conversion. Also, the "Fast Start" in the US is called "Sharing Bonus" in India and is only paid out for 2 levels. 


To get the MAXIMUM from the compensation plan, you must be placing a minimum of 100PV in product volume order from your own account. This order has to be placed monthly for doTERRA to pay you commissions and to consider you an active partner. To additionally qualify for the Power Of Three bonus, we suggest each partner does a 150pv order so everyone can receive this bonus. 

However, when you first start this business, we know finances can be tight and we want to ensure this business is a blessing and not a hardship. To help none of this come out of your own pocket when you begin building this business, there is a strategy to apply and make your goal. 

The first 2 weeks of the month, you will need to plan on 3-4 classes. In these classes, you need to be receiving 50pv orders from each class. Use these indivisual orders to fill your own LRP order. This will help you cover your cost and open up all commission options. 

The last 2 weeks of the month are for wellness consults, following up, and helping your people get their own wholesale accounts and start ordering on their own. 


To get where you want to go, you have to know how to get there. Choose from these three rank planners below as an official roadmap of exactly what it looks like to get to the next rank. These should be filled out the last week of every month for the next month you are going into. If you are mentoring someone, have them fill this out the last week of the month also so you can help them achieve their goals.
